Sri Lankan Chicken Curry

 Chicken Curry

Ingredients

  1. Chicken 500g
  2. 1 tablespoon Curry powder
  3. 2 tablespoon chili powder
  4. 1teaspoon of chili powder
  5. 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  6. Salt as required
  7. 2 chopped raw chilies
  8. 2 cloves of chopped red onions
  9. A spring of curry leaf
  10. 3-4 small spices of pandan leaf
  11. 1 small chopped ginger piece
  12. 2 cloves of chopped garlic
  13. 1 crash nutmeg pieces
  14. 1 chopped tomatoes
  15. 1-2 small cinnamon pieces
  16. 1-2 cloves
  17. 2 tablespoon of coconut oil
  18. 1 cardamom
  19. 2 cup of water

 

Instructions

  1. Wash & cut the chicken into pieces.
  2. Put it into bowl.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of chili powder, salt to taste, pepper powder to chicken pieces and mix it well.
  4. Take pan and add 2 tablespoon of curry powder & 2 tablespoon of chili powder.
  5. Fry it slightly. (Without oil)
  6. Now heat another pan and add oil.
  7. When the oil heats up, add chopped onions, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, curry leaf, pandan pieces, fried chili & curry powder mixer fry it about 5-10 sec in low heat.
  8. Now add all other ingredients except chicken spices.
  9. Mix it well.
  10. Now add seasoned chicken mixture & water.
  11. Cover it well and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
