Mallung (leaves with shredded coconut)
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of cabbage leaves, shredded (See picture) You can also use sessile joyweed leaves , Hummingbird leaves, Manioc leaves for this
- 2 small red onion cloves
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 raw chili
- 1 dried chili
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 chopped onion cloves
- 1 chopped raw chili
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 2 tablespoon of scraped coconut
Instructions
- Blend 2 red onions, garlic, dried chili, 1 raw chili, turmeric powder, salt, scraped coconut
- Take a pan and add oil
- When the oil heats up, add the first mixture and mix well for 10-15 seconds
- Add shredded cabbage leaves to it
- Stir well for about a minute
- Remove from the cooker and allow to cool
- Now add the lime juice
Note:
*A clay pot is best for cooking.
