Sri Lankan Mallung

 Mallung (leaves with shredded coconut)



 Ingredients

  1. 1 Cup of cabbage leaves, shredded (See picture) You can also use sessile joyweed leaves , Hummingbird leaves, Manioc leaves for this
  2. 2 small red onion cloves
  3. 1 garlic clove
  4. 1 raw chili
  5. 1 dried chili
  6. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  7. 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  8. 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  9. 1 chopped onion cloves
  10. 1 chopped raw chili
  11. 1 tablespoon of oil
  12. 2 tablespoon of scraped coconut

 Instructions

  1. Blend 2 red onions, garlic, dried chili, 1 raw chili, turmeric powder, salt, scraped coconut
  2. Take a pan and add oil
  3. When the oil heats up, add the first mixture and mix well for 10-15 seconds
  4. Add shredded cabbage leaves to it
  5. Stir well for about a minute
  6. Remove from the cooker and allow to cool
  7. Now add the lime juice

Note:

*A clay pot is best for cooking.
